A Vancouver-based restaurant chain is getting set to open a second location in Toronto.
Already, a Hello Nori Japanese hand roll and sake bar is located 648 King St. W. near Bathurst Street, and now a second location is under construction on York Street.
“Our team is bringing another geometric ceiling feature to life with the fabrication of 1,110 custom white oak elements,” Build It By Design shared on Instagram. “Every single piece was crafted in-house at our millwork shop.”
On the hellonori.com website, it says the menu features a range of dishes based around Japanese cuisine and Vancouver’s abundance of fresh seafood.
“Hello Nori’s Hand Roll isn’t just a sushi roll, it’s wrapped in the crispiest, freshest nori and filled with the finest fish,” the company shared in a Facebook post. “Our hand rolls are rolled to order and to be eaten immediately for the perfect balance of flavour and texture.”
“First time trying hello nori on Toronto,” Isaac K wrote on the to-go order page. “I dipped my toes in with the TAMAGO roll and it was awesome. Looking forward to trying their other products. Apparently, if you want their signature handroll you need to have it in the restaurants. I’ll have to go in as well.”
